Gazprom won't cut gas supplies to Europe
RBC, 02.05.2006, Moscow 16:31:45. – Russian gas giant Gazprom does not plan to reduce its gas supplies to Europe, the company's spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov told Echo of Moscow radio station. He said the company's contracts would be performed in full. "Gazprom is ready to satisfy Europe's growing demand for natural gas," he said, noting that the gas company "was not threatening to anyone and did not want to catch anyone." At a meeting with EU officials on April 18, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said that "attempts to restrict Gazprom's activities on European markets and politicize the issue of gas supplies will not do any good."
